Proposition 67: Ban on single-use plastic bags

Proposition 67 bans stores from distributing single-use paper or plastic bags; however, it allows single-use plastic bags for meat, bread, produce, bulk items and perishable items. Consumers would be required to pay 10 cents for each recycled, compostable and reusable bag.
