This year, among the presents under the decorated tree or the gifts by the menorah are 16 choir numbers and 12 soloists presenting to you the Oak Park High School Choir Holiday Showcase at 7 p.m. tonight on Friday, Dec. 11.

Among the songs being performed are “Hotta Chocolatta,” “Last Christmas,” “Hanukkah in Santa Monica” and other traditional holiday music.

“We are so glad to be able to host a virtual choir show for everyone! Even though we are stuck in our houses, we feel like this is a great opportunity to spread some holiday cheer and hope during this time,” junior and choir leadership member Ashley Sanft wrote to the Talon, who will be performing a “Christmas Waltz” solo by Julie Styne tonight.

Tickets are free of charge, and the livestream can be found on the Oak Park Music Archive YouTube Channel.

“It’s been a long time coming, and our choir has been working super hard to record, edit and put together this concert,” Sanft wrote. “Please come if you have the time …  everyone is welcome! Thank you all for your amazing support!”
