Boys’ basketball’s Isaiah Sherrard to join West Coast Elite
Sherrard in elite company
Standout Oak Park Boys’ basketball player Isaiah Sherrard has committed to play for premier AAU program West Coast Elite.
The decision was made official earlier this month on the West Coast Elite Instagram page. West Coast Elite is one of the premier AAU (Amateur Athletic Union) basketball programs in the country.
“I’m really excited to join WCE,” Sherrard said. “Look at all the great talents that have come out of this program. Multiple NBA players, multiple McDonald’s All Americans—and to think I am in this program that produced all these players is really a dream come true.”
Notable alumni include former Oak Park players Riley Battin, Zeke Richards, Clark and Wes Slajchert, as well as former and current college stars such as Arizona’s Nico Mannion and Duke’s Cassius Stanley.
“We have had several players participate and have success with the west coast elite basketball program in the past. It is going to be a huge Spring and Summer for Isaiah,” head Oak Park High School boys basketball coach Aaron Shaw said.
