Friday, April 28, was the last rally of the 2022-23 school year. Students of each grade participated in games organized by ASB; these games included a spelling bee, balloon stomp and Spikeball. The rally was opened by a rendition of the National Anthem by junior Elizabeth Dusek, as well as musical numbers by the OPHS drumline and marching band members. The cheer team, dance team and colorguard each performed their respective routines. After the seniors were announced as winners of the rally, Ubatuba and shaved ice were made available at lunch.

ASB president and senior Jared Cornick expressed his hope for school spirit to grow for rallies in the future and how grateful he is to have had the opportunity to plan, host and be a part of rallies at OPHS.

“It’s a super weird feeling. I’ve been a part of the planning process since freshman year, and it’s super odd to say this is the last rally I’ll ever be a part of. I’ve had a super fun time with Ella Shulze leading,” Cornick said. “I’ve made memories I’ll never forget. It’s been a blast hosting the rallies this past year.”
