Are you tired of doing the same old things? There are many fun local activities to spice up your summer. Whether you want to try a new restaurant or spend the day outside, there are countless options to choose from.
After just a quick drive to Moorpark, Underwood Family Farms offers many different activities. In addition to seeing farm animals, you can pick various fresh fruits and vegetables and take pictures with friends.
As the closest amusement park to Oak Park, Pacific Park is on the Santa Monica Pier, with plenty of thrilling rides and attractions. There are also numerous restaurants and dessert shops throughout the pier to dine at or grab a quick bite.
The Getty Center and Getty Villa
Want a bit of enjoyable education over the summer? The Getty Center, located in Los Angeles, and the Getty Villa, located in Pacific Palisades, both have extraordinary artwork and natural beauty, in addition to breathtaking sights of Los Angeles and Malibu to enrich your summer experience.
There are many dining and shopping opportunities at the local Promenade at Westlake. Many new shops and restaurants have been filling the center and are worth a try. Seabutter serves high-quality sushi and the upcoming restaurant Sweetfin is a fantastic place to eat some plant and poke-based bowls that are sustainable and gluten free.
Looking for discounted clothing, shoes and other accessories? The Camarillo Premium Outlets have over 300 stores to choose from that generally sell items at a discounted price. There are plenty of restaurants and other entertainment forms, such as the Cinemark movie theater.
Ventura Harbor Village is a great place to spend a summer day if you want to escape the hot weather. Here, there are multiple festive restaurants and stores to shop in. You can also rent affordable boats such as swan boats and paddle boats.
Go to the Beach
Take a short drive down Malibu Canyon or Kanan Road to go to the beach and get a chance to relax. Wind down from the busy school year by laying out in the sun and swimming in the ocean. Zuma beach is a beautiful spot to spend your summer days, however, the beach may be crowded in the summer, so it is best to arrive early in the day.
Just across the street from Starbucks, Cafe Sapientia is an excellent family-owned coffee shop where you can cool down with snacks and a drink. Some of their popular items include a variety of flavors of snow creme bowls and their delicious iced beverages.
