If you are looking for a variety of food, Neighborly has it all. Located in the Westlake Promenade, this collection of restaurants, located all under one roof, takes the spot of Social Monk, which has relocated to inside Neighborly. Hitting all the types of food, from sandwiches and Asian-fusion to Italian and Mediterranean, this food hall brings in local restaurants and maintains a diversity of meal options.
The five restaurants serving food include Gaby’s, Social Monk, The Cheese Store Pizza, Mini Kabob and Flour Shop. Upon arrival, you can check out all the different menus as well as the different pre-packaged food from their marketplace. After choosing the restaurant you are ordering from, you check out at a kiosk and have the food there or take it to go.
Neighborly was founded by the owners of Mendocino Farms and Goop Kitchen. The venue offers indoor and outdoor seating and all food comes out of one open-view kitchen. No matter who you’re dining with, even the pickiest eaters will be able to find something to enjoy—multicultural, high-quality food at reasonable prices.

Gaby’s
Gaby’s is a restaurant created by Gaby Dalkin, restaurateur and cookbook author of five cookbooks. At Gaby’s, there is a variety of sandwiches, salads and bowls to choose from, showcasing her elevated take on fresh Californian cuisine. We have tried their Pesto Chicken Sandwich and Chinese Chicken Crunch Salad. Overall, you should sample dishes across the Gaby’s menu to get a sense for Dalkin’s spirit of globally-inspired meals.
The Cheese Store Pizza
The Cheese Store Pizza is a restaurant that originated in Beverly Hills and is owned by Dominick DiBartolomeo. We tried the Lemon Ricotta Pasta and their Spicy Rigatoni Vodka Pasta. With its unique blend of flavors, their Lemon Ricotta Pasta was our favorite out of all of the menu items we have tried from any of the restaurants. Housemade rigatoni, garlic-lemon cream and parmesan cheese, with the added textures of crispy artichokes and crushed croutons, made this dish one to remember, and one you should go to Neighborly specifically to try.

Mini Kabob
We tried their Mamma Alva’s Favorite Plate, and have previously tried their Mini Kabob Wrap. This is Neighborly’s Mediterranean influence, and their dishes are inspired by the creators’ Armenian heritage. Though Mini Kabob has a location in Glendale, and has been spotlighted in various magazines, its small place at Neighborly still carries bold flavors and lends itself to a warm, communal atmosphere. Out of the two dishes sampled, we recommend the Favorite Plate for its well-seasoned chicken and some of the best tzatziki we’ve had.

Social Monk
Although we did not try any of their food while they were a part of Neighborly, Social Monk opened in 2018 and was later incorporated into the greater food hall. Since its reopening, fans can enjoy Social Monk’s classic dishes, like orange chicken or drunken noodles, while surrounded by dining alternatives.
Flour Shop
Flour Shop is a bakery founded by Amirah Kassem and adds a dessert option to the food hall. Beyond Neighborly, there are locations in Los Angeles and New York, along with the option to order their cookies from their website. In the food hall, there is a limited availability of three cookie flavors, while online and in their other shops there are cakes and other treats available.
Joan’s On Third
Neighborly’s space also functions as a marketplace. There are many available prepackaged food options from various vendors, including Joan’s On Third, which supplies take-home soups and pastas that you can cook at home. Apart from Joan’s on Third as their main supplier, there are other vendors in the “Stock Your Fridge” section.
