Taylor Swift and Adele will own the month of November
The anticipation for the releases of albums by Taylor Swift and Adele will dominate the music industry
Growing up, the radio was consumed by hit artists like Bruno Mars, Drake, Justin Timberlake and more. The excitement of a new Taylor Swift single or Adele album, however, was unparalleled. The successes of these two strong, independent female artists was always exciting for young girls around the world.
After changing her brand with the release of every new album, Taylor Swift created nearly 10 completely different albums throughout the years. She told her audiences later on that she did not have the copyrights to her first six albums and wanted to change that.
“My contract says that starting November 2020, … I can record albums one through five all over again. I’m very excited about it,” Taylor Swift said in an interview on “Good Morning America” in August of 2019.
Starting with her album Fearless, Taylor is making her way through the music she does not have ownership of to re-record, re-release,and rename as “Taylor’s Version.” Her first re-release had the biggest first-week debut of any country album in the past six years. “Red,” being one of Taylor’s most popular albums and next album to be re-released, can only be expected to do just as well as her fans continue to show support for her re-released discography.
Adele, on the other hand, is making a long awaited comeback to the music industry. In November of 2015, Adele dropped “25,” which is her last album to date.
In October of 2021, Adele released her comeback song “Easy On Me,” which was the biggest song in the world upon its release, and rested at number one on the Billboard Global 200.
Adele has mentioned to several news sites that her newest album is inspired by her recent divorce. On one of her most recent livestreams, a fan asked what specifically brought about her new album and return to making music to which she responded, “Divorce, babe, divorce.”
The five year gap between her last album release and now is bringing fans the exact heartbreak that they would always expect Adele to provide for them through her music.
As excitement continues to grow, we can only imagine these two artists owning the entire month of November. People around the world will be celebrating Taylor’s ownership of another album, along with tracks being released out of the vault, while simultaneously feeling the pain of Adele’s lyricism.
Both artists alike will deliver a breakout November month to the likes that is unachievable by any other artists.
