Styles’ success within music, fashion and movies

With 2022 marking the return to normalcy, singer-songwriter, actor and fashion icon Harry Styles only enhanced the year with numerous creative accomplishments. As his spontaneous life has been a whirlwind, he still manages to please his fans with a multitude of events.

Music:

Harry Styles, hit the stage Jun. 11 in Glasgow, UK for his first show in 2022. With 24 shows in the UK, two in Toronto, 15 consecutive shows at Madison Square Garden, five in Texas, five in Chicago and 15 in Los Angeles, Styles has had an uproar of fame this year.

“Harry’s House,” Styles’ third solo album, came out May 20 with lots of positive thoughts from fans. With a 4.9 out of 5 stars for audience rating on Google, Styles shot up on popularity after it came out.

In Texas, his team put “Together, we can end gun violence” shirts on all the chairs in the venue as well as donated $100,000 to Everytown, an organization dedicated to ending gun violence.

On his tour in Los Angeles, Styles celebrated halloween by dressing up as Danny Zuko from “Grease.” Whenever one of his shows is scheduled for halloween night, his fans go all out for “Harryween.” His exclusive merchandise is only available that night for his “Harryween” guests, making the show all the more exciting. Styles also sang “Hopelessly Devoted To You” as a tribute to Olivia Newton-John.

The “Harry’s House” album is exactly like a moving museum as Styles’ has expanded his performance style and production of music.

Fashion:

Harry Styles is our generation’s Freddie Mercury. After Styles performed at the Wembley Stadium in the UK, same as the one Queen played at for LiveAid, people were shocked at how similar the performances were. With the movements, presence, energy and most of all, the outgoing style.

In 1977, at Madison Square Garden, Mercury wore a silver sequined bodysuit that was show stopping and went down in history. Styles has worn a very similar sequined bodysuit at Coachella 2022.

Styles has taken a new step in his flamboyant style full of stripes, pearls, crazy patterns and leather jackets and his fashion has expanded in a new way that will forever affect his career.

Movies:

After months in the making and hard work trying to hide filming in public, Styles’ movies have recently hit theaters around the world. Fans packed the showings, obsessing over seeing him on the screen since his minor roles in “Dunkirk” and “Eternals.” His new movies, “Don’t Worry Darling” and “My Policeman” have shed away from the aspect of being a side character, and now in the spotlight, he shines.

“Don’t Worry Darling” was a highly anticipated film that Styles’s fans were looking forward to. Even though the movie came in with 38% Rotten Tomatoes, the movie accumulated a 74% audience rating. Overall, viewers seemed to turn away from the plot since it was not the ‘feminism upbringing’ that it was supposed to be. To read about it in depth, refer to the “Don’t Worry Darling” review.

Just a short month later, “My Policeman” was out in theaters. Harry has received many positive reviews all over Twitter, saying that “[he] gave a daring performance. I didn’t expect him to be that good, but he was really really good in this film. He’s steadily getting there, acting-wise.”

Styles has proved his willingness to take on the challenge of acting. With his residency tours commencing, Styles has balanced flying over the country for movie premieres, pleasing his music and movie fans. Since he usually goes on a hiatus after he tours, his movies and additional shows have kept fans on their toes, excitedly waiting for his next project.
