MCMS performs ‘Newsies’ in a Saturday night production

Medea Creek Middle School put on an amazing show for over 300 people. Through the help of Upstage, a Musical Theatre Program, over 40 MCMS students put on the wonderful show “Newsies.”

“Newsies” takes place in 1899 in New York City. The cast displayed the lesson of perseverance and resilience throughout all the songs and dances. Tons of talented actors were cast for suitable roles in this show. The director of this show, Christine Abraham, allowed every single student to have their moment and to have fun throughout this experience. All the cast members had been working on this show for about 20 weeks, or around 50 hours. Many were thrilled by the results of this show. From custom costumes and backdrops to DIY newspapers, it took nearly 80 adults and kids to make this show happen. This was a success and an experience many will forever remember.
