Was it worth the money?

After long months of waiting for these few days, Coachella 2023 festival comes to a close with some unforgettable moments.

First weekend: Friday, April 14 & 21

To kick off the weekend, the main headliner was Bad Bunny. He brought out Ñengo Flow and Jowell & Randy for his song “Safaera.” He again shared the stage with Jhayco, to sing “Dákiti,” “Tarot” and Jhayco’s hit “No Me Conoce.” He went to perform at 11 p.m. following Gorillaz at 8:30 p.m.

Earlier that day, artists and bands like TV Girl, Blondie and Metro Boomin swept the stage. Metro Boomin brought out the Weekend, who played six songs and then brought out Future to end their show.

Saturday, April 15 & 22

Blackpink made history as the first girl group and K-pop act to headline Coachella. They performed some of their hits on the main stage, including “Pink Venom,” “Boombayah” and “Ddu-Du Ddu-Du.” Blackpink took the stage at 9:20 p.m. in the midst of their “Born Pink” World Tour.

Labrinth brought a contagious amount of energy to the stage performing his soundtrack from the show ‘Euphoria.’ Labrinth brought out Billie Eilish to perform their song “Never Felt So Alone.” It wasn’t the first time the pair performed their song together, as she brought him out at her concert at the Kia Forum.

On 4/22, during the second weekend of the festival, Labrinth brought out another surprise guest, Zendaya. Zendaya plays the main character, Rue, on the HBO show ‘Euphoria.’ Fans were shocked as she performed “All for Us” from the show’s first season and “I’m Tired” from the second season.

Zendaya discussed the fact that she hasn’t been on a live stage in years on her Instagram Story.

“Thank you all for welcoming me back on that stage with open arms. It’s been a very long time, so I appreciate it.”

Sunday, April 16 & 23

The highly anticipated performer, Frank Ocean, took the stage after taking a 6 year hiatus. This was what his fans were calling ‘Frankchella’ since he was headlining such an important music festival. Fans camped out as early as 8:00 a.m. for over twelve hours in the hot desert sun.

As he was over an hour late to his set, many fans were left confused and disappointed. He left out several of his hit songs and indiscreetly sang along to vocal tracks. The show then ended suddenly as he told the crowd it was past curfew so he had to leave.

Ocean ended up dropping out of the second weekend of the festival, so Blink-182 took the headliner position. As the band just had their high-spirited reunion, they performed some of their hits like “I Miss You,” “All the Small Things” and “What’s My Age Again?”.
