The Oak Park High School baseball team is prepared to step up to the plate this season. The boys are looking at a transformed team that contrasts their previous season. With a new mindset, they are ready to win.

“We have new coaches and new players, and I think the vibe is just different too,” sophomore Carter Licht said. “We’re more positive and I think we’re looking at a good season.”
For the 2025 season, the players aim to develop a strong bond.
“My hope for the season is that we can really come together more as a team and start a good foundation for the baseball program,” junior Royce Willis said.
Baseball requires many skills, but Willis recognizes that teamwork lays the groundwork for successful outcomes.
“The skill that not many people talk about is cheering on your teammates when they’re on the field and building a team culture… with that, the talent will follow,” Willis said.

This season the team is working to strengthen their players to win their Coastal Canyon league games.
“We play in a really difficult league,” Licht said. “A lot of the teams are really good, but fear is just a mindset and we can get through anything.”
OPHS baseball is already off to a great start this season. Watch them hit a home run at their upcoming game on March 12 against Simi Valley.
“Come watch Oak Park Baseball,” Willis said. “Come support us and hopefully we’ll bring in some wins.”
