The Oak Park High School Theater performed their production of “Mean Girls” on March 6-8. The performers wowed the crowd with their acting and singing, and many OPHS students enjoyed watching their friends perform.
“I just adored the show,” senior Addie Vanden Hengel said. “It really showcased our student body’s talent and made me proud to be a part of this creatively fulfilling community.”
While this is not the last performance of the year, many seniors involved with the production were brought to tears at the end of the musical’s final night, aware that their high school acting careers will soon come to an end.
“I was absolutely sobbing during the final number on closing night. It had been such an amazing production and I became so close to all of my classmates so my emotions were high,” senior Kennedy Sheehan said. “As I will be co-directing the spotlight show this was my last time performing on the oak park stage so it hit even harder.
