Beyond Oak Park: Cruz closing in on Trump in Iowa
After accruing massive leads both nationally and in early voting states such as Iowa and New Hampshire, Donald Trump’s poll numbers have dwindled in the Hawkeye state as a result of the ascent of Ted Cruz. According to a recent Des Moines Register/Bloomberg poll, Cruz has a three point lead over Trump in Iowa. After deliberately avoiding conflict with Trump earlier in the race, Cruz will have to adapt now that he’s threatening the businessman in the polls.
