Happy Monday, Oak Park. Here’s what you need to know to wrap up your weekend and begin your week:
This week: Fall sports end and spirit week
Boys’ basketball will play away at Simi. Frosh-soph plays at 4:30 p.m., junior varsity at 6 p.m. and varsity at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 9
Girls’ basketball will play Simi at home Thursday, Feb. 9. Junior varsity will play at 5 p.m. and varsity at 6:30 p.m.
On Wednesday, Feb. 8, boys’ soccer plays away at Simi. Frosh-soph plays at 3:30 p.m., junior varsity at 5 p.m. and varsity at 6:45 p.m.
Girls’ soccer plays Simi at home Wednesday, Feb. 8.
This week is rally week. Monday is dress to unimpress; Tuesday is twin day; Wednesday is ski day; Thursday is tie dye day; and Friday is rally day.
Next week: AP and Honors meetings
All AP and Honors informational meetings will take place next week.
Beyond Oak Park: Federal court rejects travel ban appeal
The Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals has denied the U.S. Justice Department’s appeal to resume President Trump’s travel ban Sunday, Feb. 5. Affected travelers from all seven previously banned countries can enter the U.S. until Monday, Feb. 6. Read more from The New York Times.
