What is NJHS?
NJHS is the new leadership organization whose purpose is to “create enthusiasm for scholarship, to stimulate a desire to render service, to promote leadership, to develop character and to encourage good citizenship in students of Medea Creek Middle School,” says the NJHS bylaws. In this new and recently introduced program, students in grades 7 and 8 can participate to make Medea Creek Middle School the best it can be.
What makes up NJHS and More…
According to the NJHS Leadership Website, “if our Medea Creek NJHS chapter is to be effective and meaningful, each member must become involved.” NJHS is considered an all time commitment that includes dedication and hard work. The organization itself requires over 10 hours of community service every semester and requires people to pay a five-dollar membership fee. Although, unlike CJSF, NJHS applicants don’t get in merely because of their grades, but by being recognized by their extra-curriculars, academic accomplishments, and volunteer service instead.
