A night to remember at Prom

The Class of 2026 celebrates their Prom at the Biltmore Hotel

The class of 2026 Prom took place at the Biltmore Hotel on Saturday, May 16, a night filled with dancing, laughter and memories that will last a lifetime.

The event consisted of an array of foods, games, music and even a photo booth.

“I thought the photo booth was really cool and I liked how everyone got a copy of the prints. The music on the dance floor was also super fun,” senior Rithmika Naveen said.

Before prom begins, it is common for students to gather with their friends and take photos.

“Preparing for prom was so much fun. I took some photos with my family before going to meet up with friends for pictures at the park,” senior Niyati Guram said.

Prom is one of the most iconic events that happens once a year and represents high school American culture.

“I loved getting to see everyone all dressed up,” Guram said. “I’ll most remember the time spent with friends—especially karaoke on our party bus and dancing at prom.”

While prom is intended for seniors, many juniors were in attendance as dates or friends for the seniors.

“It was really amazing to share one last big event with my best friends before they graduate,” junior Sophia Loteria said.

As senior year comes to an end for the class of 2026, Prom marks an end of an era for seniors as they celebrate their achievements throughout high school.

“I thought prom was really fun and it was really nice to see everyone, and be around all of my friends,” senior Sofia Selcer said. “My favorite part would probably either be taking photos with everyone or winning three card poker with three of a kind aces.”
