Potential armed protests to take place in all 50 states

Group plans to potentially storm government buildings over Biden inauguration, according to FBI bulletin

Following the protests and storming of the United States Capitol on Jan. 6, there have been reports of planned armed protests at every state capital, according to an internal FBI bulletin. These armed protests are expected to occur on Jan. 20, the Presidential Inauguration Day.

If President Donald Trump is removed from office before the end of his term, an identified group is calling for people to join them in ‘storming’ state, local and federal courthouses, as well as administrative buildings, according to information the FBI has received. This group also plans to ‘storm’ these buildings in every state and the District of Columbia when President-elect Joseph Biden is inaugurated.

“The FBI received information about an identified armed group intending to travel to Washington, DC on 16 January,” the bulletin read. “They have warned that if Congress attempts to remove POTUS via the 25th Amendment, a huge uprising will occur.”

In preparation for Biden’s inauguration, federal law enforcement authorities announced they plan to deploy up to 15,000 National Guard troops. There are also plans to have a multilayered buffer zone that includes multiple checkpoints.

On Jan. 11, Democrats in the House of Representatives introduced an article of impeachment against Trump, citing his position in the attack on the Capitol. This came after the Republicans objected to the resolution which would formally call on Vice President Mike Pence to invoke the 25th Amendment and declare Trump “incapable of executing the duties of his office and to immediately exercise powers as acting president incapable of executing the duties of his office and to immediately exercise powers as acting president.”
