For the 2025-2026 season, Natalee Elazary was selected for the Coastal Canyon Second Team, along with her teammate Charlotte Ben. Chosen by the coaches of the league and voted for, they were the only two of OPHS’ girls soccer team to earn spots.
“It felt really rewarding and accomplishing especially knowing the level of competition in the league,” Elazary said. “It showed me that the work I’ve been putting in is paying off, and it motivates me to reach even higher”.
Elazary started playing soccer when she was young, about 4 years old.
“I was inspired by being around the sport a lot growing up, and my dad was also a big fan of the sport,” Elazary said “Once I touched the ball, I knew I found a passion.”
Elazary is an offensive mid. She plays a key role in assisting, scoring and creating goals.
“I like my position because it fits my strengths and lets me grow as a player the most,” Elazary said.
Elazary loves being a part of a team.
“My favorite part is building chemistry with everyone and the feeling when everything works together,” Elazary said.
She is incredibly intentional and dedicated, taking proactive steps towards her goals.
“I definitely want to keep playing in college,” Elazary said. “Soccer is a huge part of who I am, and I don’t want to give it up.”
Her typical training schedule is intense.
“A week usually includes team practices, games, and extra private training on my own like fitness or technical training, depending on what I need to improve,” Elazary said.
Elazary strongly believes in diligence.
“Consistency and work ethic always matter more than talent,” Elazary said. “Control what you can control, your effort, attitude and mindset. It will change your perspective and your game.”
Elazary is undoubtedly an accomplished player. She is playing at a high level, making all-league, and getting noticed by college coaches.
Like any athlete she has had her fair share of obstacles.
“One of my biggest challenges was my hip injury. It set me back for a while, and going through physical therapy was frustrating,” Elazary said. “But, it made me mentally stronger and more disciplined with everything I do. I’ve become more cautious than ever.”
Elazary is grateful for the people who have shaped her career.
“My coaches and family have had the biggest impact on me,” Elazary said. “They’ve always pushed me to improve and supported me through everything knowing how proud they are of me.”
As a junior, Elazary has one more season left with OPHS. She is looking forward to closing out with a strong year and giving it her all.
